The majority of the cats
we see each day are
Domestic Long-hairs
(origins unknown).  Next
in line are Persians and
Himalayans.  We also
see quite a few Domestic
Short-hairs, along with
the usual Maine Coons,
Ragdolls, Exotics, and
other breeds you would
expect to need grooming
from time to time.

Welcome to our web site, and thank you for taking the time to learn
more about our feline-exclusive spa and resort. In order to give you a
better feel for who we are, we are in the process of gathering reference
letters from some of our long-time clients.  We will post these as they
become available.

If you are already one of our clients and would like to submit a
reference for The Catty Shack, please click

appreciative!
I have been taking my Persian cat to Danelle German of The Catty Shack for
several years. Even though the drive from Anderson to Simpsonville is longer
than I'd like, it is well worth the time.  I like to keep my cat in full-coat so that he
looks full and fluffy.  With Danelle's experience in grooming Persians I know he's
going to come home looking fantastic every time. She always takes the time to
trim his face and make his coat shine as if he's headed to the show and ready to
win the Best Cat Award!

What our clients say:
The Finest in
Feline Grooming
and Boarding
Where a groomed Cat is a happy Cat!
What do you do when your long-hair cat has a behavior problem and is in need of
a haircut? My wife and I took our cat, Rosie, to several pet groomers in Greenville
with little luck.  Often these groomers resorted to sedating Rosie, or they got way
too physical with her.  This would result in a bad experience, a bad haircut, and
lots of stress for all of us.
Finally we lucked-up and found Danelle German, owner of The Catty Shack. Not
only did Rosie get a good haircut, but she also had a good demeanor afterwards.
Without drugs or bondage, Danelle was able to take our "problem child" and giver
her a stylish hair-do.  I trust Danelle with Rosie and highly recommend her
grooming services.

Just wanted to say that Danelle and her able assistant (her son) were wonderful
with our cats.  Princess is a long-haired who needed a cut for the long, hot SC
summer.  Princess looks great with her new, shorter 'do.  She is more active and
generally happier now that we have her tangled, hot long hair off for the summer.

But the Catty Shack is not just for long-haired cats.  Tess is our 20
lb. "baby" who just can't groom like she did when she was younger and
slimmer.  Danelle is great with her and Tess seems to enjoy her spa
experience.

Overall, very happy cats.

I was very pleased with my cat's grooming experience at The
Catty Shack.  I adopted her from the Humane Society and she was badly
in need of grooming.  She was handled with loving care and looks
beautiful.

I accidently happened upon Danelle and The Catty Shack when
I heard her advertisement on The Walk radio station. I have taken BJ to
other "groomers" (vets with jets for blow-drying). POOR BJ! He was
always stressed out when I would pick him up. I can honestly tell you that
the trip from Roebuck in Spartanburg County to Simpsonville is soooo
worth the drive. BJ is no longer stressed out when I pick him up. He is
calm and relaxed and ready to go home and sleep. I think Danielle must
throw in a "back massage" to relax him because BJ looks great and does
not have one ounce of stress left. Danelle is God-sent for my BJ. I am
so glad that I was listening to the radio and took the chance and drove
all the way to Simpsonville for my BJ's treatment of a life-time. BJ
and I are hooked customers. WE LOVE DANIELLE! Thanks Danielle and keep up
the good job!

You guys were so awesome to my grumpy Mr. Bing! I thought he would be
stressed out, but he was totally calm... he is prancing around the house in his
new lion cut and wagging his little lion tail! Thank you so much! I've already
showed the pictures too all of my friends and given them your number... my 16lb
Maine Coon is next! :)
